Ameron Koeln Hotel Regent - Cologne

Modern decor impressed me when I walked into the hotel. The room felt spacious, with a comfortable bed and clean parquet floors. Breakfast offered a great variety of options, catering to different tastes. Public transport access was convenient. On the downside, the heating did not adjust well, causing the room to feel too warm. The bathroom design had slight flaws. The sink placement made it inconvenient for use. Staff communication during certain incidents lacked grace, especially regarding the cleaning schedule which was confusing. I appreciated the hotel's cleanliness but felt more attention could be given to the comfort aspects of the stay.

The room package that included internet, parking, minibar and mineral water made it an excellent value. The staff spoke very good English and was very helpful. Off-street parking was a plus. There are several tram stations within one to two block walk. There is a restaurant district within about 20 minute walk.

The hotel had several tour bus groups visiting, which made restaurant and bar service very inconsistent. When the tour group was at the bar, the staff was overwhelmed. Otherwise, service was good.

very nice and courteous staff onsite. spotless, fashionable rooms with a work desk, tea/coffee making equipment and tv.

The room was spacious, with a cozy aesthetic, and had a nice surprise of free mineral water daily, even better.

The internet didnt work for 3 days out of the 4 days i was there.

The restaurant is just decent

I travel all over the world for business 230 days per year and I usually stay in the top 5 hotels of the city where I go...I've seen thousands of hotels in my life and all I can say is dont even bother to come in this one. The room fortinure are cheap really cheap...the walls dirty and not mentioning the staff is completely unprofessional and unpolite for a business travel that expect to be in a 4 star hotels. Based on my experience they are lucky if they get 2 stars instead. The reception staff is incompetent, rude and inappropriate. I booked for 3 days I left the following morning.

We stayed for 7 nights at this hotel while we were exhibiting at Koln messe. It was very continent by metro (S-bhan) direct to Messe Dutz station. This hotel is up to date in design and features. Hotel staff is AMAZING, extremely helpful. We were given free use of their umbrellas in case of rain, small but well thought of details to make my stay more comfortable. Free internet is provided with wire in the room. Bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel you are OK with taking 10 mins ride to dome koln by tram. only 4 stops down this tram from the hotel towards the city center there is another large shopping area.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, but expensive breakfast buffet (but coffee could be better for that price). Room big, but narrow, so finally not as much space as expected. Great bathroom and nice extras in the room. Small gym was much appreciated. Nice location for leisure (close to park) and business (close to public transport, though not central). I booked the room at a low rate because the hotel was not fully booked.

The rate I paid was low, but I wouldn't pay the usual price for this room. Room was always a bit stuffy, because air con didn't work great and windows cannot really be opened. And everything had to be paid extra (car park, breakfast, extra fee for the dog), so the trip can turn out more costly than you think. Restaurant not to be recommended.

Ameron was a great experience. The room was spacious with plenty of cupboard space and very clean. Breakfast had a good selection. The hotel is conveniently near tram services. There's various cardio machines for those who want to stay active.

some more hanging space for towels would be beneficial.

Very comfortable stay with clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. The sauna and gym were well-maintained, offering a relaxing end to our days. Although breakfast wasn’t included, there’s a nearby supermarket for convenience. Be prepared for potential crowds during busy times.

Excellent hotel, very pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything in the hotel.

Nothing to do in the area, had to catch a tram (2 minute walk) to get into the town (5 minute trip). Really a non issue

My wife suggested that most hotels, this included, could do a better job of showers and hairdryers near a mirror! I have no hair, so couldn't care less......

All good, fulfills its purpose. The breakfast buffet has plenty of delicious options for all dietary needs, including fresh varietals.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and super-clean. Located beside the tram stop so has easy access to city centre. Alternatively you can walk in about 30 - 40 minutes.
